Quick Tips To Market You Site
Your web site is an essential part of your marketing strategy; however, it cannot market itself. Just as a business card is not going to be useful until it has content and is circulated, your site will not help your business unless you actively marketing it. The best way to go about this is to put your web site address on everything customers see and tell everyone about it!
Here are a few tips to help your market your web site to your existing and potential customers:
Business Cards, Letterhead and Brochures -- Your web site address should be printed on your business cards, letterhead and brochures. If you are not ready to get these reprinted, you can always print you web address on labels to add to all your business stationery (it’s a good idea to add your email address also).
Flyers, Ads and Coupons -- When putting together flyers, Yellow Page ads, newspaper ads, and coupons, add your web site address. Since you are limited in space (and words) in print advertising, you can direct you customers to you web site for additional information regarding your business and the specials you are running.
Inside and Outside Your Business -- Advertise your web site inside your business (signs, flyers, postcards, business card, etc.) and outside (windows, doors, awning, banners, etc.). This will help inform existing and potential customers about your web site address.
Outgoing Phone Messages -- On your answering machine or voice mail message, tell your customers about your web site. For example: "We are not able to come to the phone right now because we are either with another customer or you have called outside of our normal business hours. Please visit our web site at www.yourwebaddress.com for more information."
Word-Of-Mouth -- Word-of-mouth is a very powerful tool; tell your customers, friends and family about your site!
List your web address everywhere, literally everywhere! And remember, for your web site to work for you, you need to work with your web site.
